Colby and I both work from home. We had both been working from home before the pandemic, so it wasn’t much of a transition after 2020. The biggest transition for us when it comes to a productive working from home day is that our 1 year old son is home too. He goes to Mother’s Day Out two days a week, but the rest of the days he is at home with us. If you are working from home, I have the perfect gift idea for YOU.
Colby works in the office upstairs and with the stress of running a company, to managing our new parent lifestyle, to me being pregnant with our second, he’s complained about gaining weight. We both used to have a very regimented and regular fitness schedule, but neither of us has been able to find a way to exercise much during the week.
This year I’m investing in a walking pad for Colby for Christmas (linked below). I’ll also be using it after I have our second baby and am so excited about having a way to move my body inside the house without having to think too much. We don’t live in a neighborhood so it’s hard to just go for a walk. We have to load up the car and drive a few miles down the road to go somewhere safe to walk or run.

This walking treadmill has a classy design and good reviews on Amazon. Colby prefers to invest in quality items that won’t break then go through the trouble of dealing with items that will break almost as soon as you bought them. So to be safe, I am ordering the higher quality option of standing desk treadmills.
If you’re looking for a nice gift option for your entrepreneur this holiday season, I think this is worth the investment for several reasons.
- Movement boosts creativity and positive mindset.
- Moving your body throughout the day is not only important for maintaining a healthy weight, it is also linked to a longer lifespan.
- Being stuck sitting at a desk is no way to live, especially for men. Men were made to use their bodies and minds and it is key to healthy hormonal balance and stress levels.
Reality is that time at the computer and on the phone is the world we live in. Desk work, driving, and being on the phone is what keeps Colby’s business running successfully at this point. So here’s to the positivity of finding ways to adapt and make the day a little less stressful!
We hope that you get as excited about this walking treadmill as we are! Can’t wait for it to arrive, will share videos soon!
